How Aurora Borealis is formed

The Earth emits charged particles into space during Solar Flare.

These Solar Particles make their way to Earth, travel along Earth’s magnetic field, and enter the atmosphere of the poles.

The charged particles collide with molecules and atoms in Earth’s atmosphere, resulting in light-emitting photons.

Different colours of auroras are caused by different types of molecules involved in the collisions.
